About Us

What YT1D does

YT1D is a free online tool for saving YouTube videos. Paste a link, and you can keep the video as an MP4 file or just the sound as an MP3. Everything happens in your web browser, on your phone or computer.

How it works

1. Copy the link of a YouTube video or Short.
2. Paste it into the box on our homepage, the MP3 page or the MP4 page.
3. Pick a format and tap a quality. When the file is ready, tap Download to save it.

Formats and qualities

MP4 video comes in 1080p, 720p, 480p, 360p, 240p and 144p, depending on what each video offers. MP3 audio comes in 320, 256 or 128 kbps. You see the size of every MP4 option before you start.

Honest limits

• The highest video quality is 1080p.
• Each file can be up to 2 GB, so most long videos work too.
• Only public videos can be saved.
• A playlist link saves only the video it points to.

Made for phones

Most people use YT1D on a phone, so we designed it for small screens first. Buttons are large, the download panel fills the screen, and there is no app to install.

Independent tool

YT1D is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
